An ex-Vikings o-lineman will be continuing his career in Cleveland, re-uniting with Kevin Stefanski for the 2023 season.
Storm Norton strikes again. The Minnesota Vikings have been shuffling around practice squad linemen since the Arizona Cardinals claimed Colby Gossett off the team’s practice squad last week. To replace Gossett, the Vikings signed Landon Turner to take his place.
The Vikings made a couple of roster moves prior to Sunday’s night game against the New Orleans Saints. Offensive tackle Storm Norton was promoted to the 53-man active roster and defensive tackle David Parry was waived.
The biggest story surrounding Vikings today was news of Everson Griffen’s return. The defensive end had been away from the team working through mental health issues. Apparently that wasn’t the only action happening Tuesday. According to Andrew Krammer of the Star Tribune, the Vikings also made a few practice squad transactions.
Following Monday’s announcement that rookie cornerback Mike Hughes would indeed miss the rest of the season with a torn ACL, the Vikings were busy on Tuesday making roster moves.
In the wake of the news that Everson Griffen won’t return to the team until “at least Week 6,” the Vikings added some insurance to the roster.The Minnesota Vikings on Monday brought back defensive end Jonathan Wynn, who was with the team during training camp. In a corresponding roster move the team waived linebacker Garret Dooley.
The corresponding roster move to account for the Vikings signing defensive tackle Tom Johnson was announced Wednesday. Defensive tackle David Parry was waived in order to make room for Johnson on the 53-man roster.
