Between the NFL Combine (February 24th-March 2nd) and the 2020 NFL Draft (April 23rd-25th) comes an important step in every team’s offseason process; the re-signing of internal personnel.Last year the Vikings created headlines during the free agency period by extending wide receiver Adam Thielen. There was also the story of Anthony Barr reneging on his verbal agreement with the New York Jets and returning to Minnesota.

The NFL Draft is like, tomorrow. Ok fine, it’s still a couple weeks away — but with the Final Four in Minneapolis next weekend and the Masters the weekend following that — the biggest event of the NFL offseason will be here before you know it.Whether you like the moves or not, the Vikings addressed the offensive line in free agency by retaining Brett Jones and acquiring Josh Kline. Now, it’s time to improve the line via the Draft. When it comes to needs, the line is clearly priority No. 1. But what other positions could the team upgrade in Nashville?

On the most recent episode of ‘Morning Joes’, the Joes (me being one of them, the Johnson one) discussed a recent article on purplePTSD.com from VikingsSpin’s Jason Wisniewski. Jason wrote about the Vikings needing to “move on” from tight end Kyle Rudolph. Both of the Joe’s agreed, for once, that the Vikings should stick with Rudolph because they have no clear replacement for him on the roster, and replacing him would require too high of a draft pick (the potential replacements that Jason named were first or second rounders, and because of the needs at other positions, namely the offensive line), that may be a bridge too far at this point in the Rick Spielman/Mike Zimmer experiment. However, it sounds like the Vikings are at least looking to do another thing that Jason mentioned, which is restructure Rudolph’s contract (as well as the contract for defensive end Everson Griffen).

Alright let’s get this out of the way — I was wrong about Kirk Cousins. I’m not afraid to admit I was ecstatic when the Vikings first landed him. I thought that his presence at quarterback combined with Minnesota’s already stellar roster would immediately make the Vikings Super Bowl contenders. As it turned out, they weren’t even a playoff team. At least not this season…

Between the NFL Combine (February 26th-March 4th) and the 2019 NFL Draft (April 25th-27th) comes an important step in every team’s offseason process; the re-signing of internal personnel. Last season, the Vikings created headlines during an exciting in-house free agency period, freeing up over $50 million in salary cap space after letting three prominent quarterbacks walk, along with running back Jerick McKinnon.

The Minnesota Vikings have announced the players that will be inactive for tonight’s game against the Miami Dolphins. As expected, the one player listed as OUT on the team’s injury report will not play. That player is wide receiver Chad Beebe. Here are the remaining players that will be held out of Sunday’s divisional showdown at U.S. Bank Stadium:

Well, this won’t be the week that the Vikings get Chad Beebe back. Even though the rookie wide receiver returned to practice this week he was officially ruled out on Friday. Beebe will miss his fourth consecutive contest with a hamstring injury. He was a limited participant in both Thursday and Friday’s sessions after missing Wednesday’s practice.

All of a sudden the Minnesota Vikings are healthy. Every player on the active roster participated in today’s practice session at TCO Performance Center in Eagan. The only player to miss Wednesday’s practice, wide receiver Chad Beebe, rejoined the team as a limited participant on Thursday. Returning to practice mid-week indicates that Beebe’s hamstring is improving, but he told local media that he doesn’t know quite yet if he’ll play Sunday. He’s missed the last three games with the injury.
