It appears as though another season has ended early for Vikings wide receiver Chad Beebe. According to Darren Wolfson of KSTP, Beebe underwent surgery recently and is out for the year.
The Vikings activated wide receiver Josh Doctson to the 53-man roster on Friday. Doctson (6-3, 206; 26) signed with the Vikings after being released by Washington on Aug. 31. He was placed on injured reserve in early September after suffering a hamstring injury but returned to practice on Oct. 30.While there haven’t been any recent reports out of TCO highlighting the chemistry between Doctson and quarterback Kirk Cousins, it’s quite evident the two shared a rapport on the football field not long ago.
When Chad Beebe (ankle) was placed on injured reserve last Tuesday, the team made a corresponding roster move and brought back wide receiver Laquon Treadwell. The Laquon Treadwell experiment may soon be coming to an end for the Minnesota Vikings. Drafted with the 23rd pick in the first round of the 2016 NFL Draft, Treadwell has just one career touchdown in three NFL seasons. That lack of production is a major reason why the team declined his fifth-year option in May, which would have cost the Vikings $10.162 million in 2020. So with Treadwell’s future in Minnesota all but decided, the team is apparently looking to recoup whatever assets it can for the former first-rounder.
