Better safe than sorry at quarterback? I think not. I’m all for the Minnesota Vikings throwing a boatload of money at Kirk Cousins.
The team may bring back the quarterback if it doesn’t land the main target. The Minnesota Vikings plan to pursue Kirk Cousins in free agency. That’s no secret. What’s more of an unknown is what the team plans on doing if it misses out on the quarterback. Well, we now have some insight.
Recent league-wide reports suggest there is mutual interest between the Minnesota Vikings and free agent Kirk Cousins. The general consensus is that there’s a reasonable likelihood the quarterback ends up in Minnesota. Yesterday a rumor surfaced that the Vikings had already offered Cousins a deal.

Rapoport’s sources report Bridgewater, as well as the team, will each proceed as if the quarterback is a free agent.
