The Minnesota Vikings have one less option as they search for their starting quarterback. According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, Case Keenum will sign with the Denver Broncos on Wednesday.

Keenum had a miraculous 2017 season for the Vikings. He appeared in 15 games, compiled an 11-3 record as a starter and led the team to the NFC Championship Game. He threw for 3,547 yards with 22 touchdowns and seven interceptions. His completion percentage was 67.6% and his QB rating of 71.3 was second in the NFL.

It was one of the top five single-seasons in franchise history.

However, there will be no encore.

The former $2 million-man is now a Denver Bronco. He’s the first domino to fall in what will be a long line of quarterback signings in this year’s free agency period. ProFootballTalk is reporting Keenum will earn between $18-20 million per season. That’s quite the raise for the 30 year-old.

His deal will become official on Wednesday.

According to Mike Klis of Denver media, Keenum’s deal is for 2-years, $36 million.
