PurplePTSD works in partnership with Vikings Territory, similarly doing their utmost to offer top-notch coverage of the Minnesota Vikings. As a result, we’re promoting their top 5 articles of the past week in “The P/PTSD Perspective.” Take a peak at some of their best stuff.

1) Did the Vikings Unearth a Diamond in the Rough in LB Troy Reeder?: That’s certainly the hope. The athletic linebacker should, at the very least, be a solid option on special teams. Something to watch for is if he gets substituted for Jordan Hicks on passing downs.

2) Kwesi Adofo-Mensah Refuses to be Boxed Into a Corner: Indeed, the GM wants to keep his options open. Going into a draft feeling utterly compelled to reach for a certain position isn’t a great place to be. Of course, the team does have needs and priorities, but Minnesota’s general manager has given himself the ability to be patient, if needed. His press conference earlier in the week simply reinforced that he wants to keep things open.

3) Could a Minnesota Gophers Star Soon Join the Minnesota Vikings?: Very possible. One would assume that being able to scout top prospects in one’s own backyard is an advantage. Lots of opportunities to get out to see live games.

4) The Vikings are Setting Up to be Big Spenders in 2024 and Beyond: Yes, the Vikings will have quite a bit of financial flexibility coming up, even with some large dead cap hits incoming. The roster is going to flip over and fully become Kwesi Adofo-Mensah’s and Kevin O’Connell’s in 2024.

5) Report: Vikings to Host Hometown 2023 Draft Prospect: The team is doing their work on some of the RBs in this draft class. There are pros and cons to trading Dalvin Cook. Moving on from the current RB1 would mean the RB room could use a touch more depth. In that situation, drafting a running back makes a lot of sense.
