The Minnesota Vikings travel home for a date with the Chicago Bears on Sunday at noon CST, the fifth regular season game of the 2022 season. The Vikings won, and the Bears lost in Week 4, setting up a quasi-desperation game for Chicago if they are to be considered a playoff team (which is kind of a longshot in general).

The team lost rookie safety Lewis Cine for the season last weekend, a brutal blow for Cine, the Vikings, and fans. The Bears also have some injuries in the secondary for Week 5.

Chicago has three players formally on the injury report.

These are each team’s injured players one day before Week 5.

The Vikings are favored by 7.5 points over the Bears in Week 5. Minnesota leads the all-time win-loss series over Chicago, 63-57-2 (.524). Too, Chicago has lost to Minnesota three times in the last five showdowns.

Bears quarterback Justin Fields makes his Minneapolis debut on Sunday, having not yet played in the city as a starter at any level of football.
