The Minnesota Vikings on Friday officially finalized the 2019 coaching staff. As expected, Rick Dennison was named the team’s new offensive line coach and Marwan Maalouf was added as the special teams coordinator.
Dennison’s official title is offensive line coach/run game coordinator. He has over 20 years of NFL coaching experience, including four seasons as an offensive coordinator. He last worked as the run game coordinator for the New York Jets in 2018. Dennison has a longstanding relationship with the Vikings new assistant head coach/offensive advisor Gary Kubiak. The two were teammates for the Denver Broncos from 1983 to 1990 and have coached together in some capacity for 15 seasons. Dennison is a three-time Super Bowl champion as a member of the Broncos coaching staff.
Andrew Janocko remains on the staff as an assistant offensive line coach. Clancy Barone, the team’s 2018 co-offensive line coach who made the switch from tight ends coach following the death of Tony Sparano, will not return.
Terence Newman, the former cornerback turned first year nickel/defensive backs coach, will also not return to the team.
Drew Petzing, who was the team’s assistant QB coach last season, will make the switch to WR coach.
Maalouf replaced longtime special teams coach Mike Priefer, who had been with the Vikings since 2011. Priefer decided not to accept Minnesota’s offer to and instead decided to join his hometown Cleveland Browns in January.
The Vikings officially have their staff in place as the team prepares for the NFL Scouting Combine, which begins on February 26th.

I'm excited to see how they scheme to fit the talent on hand ~ We saw how the talent on hand didn't fit JDF offense and he refused to make adjustments ~ Stefanski showed how something as simple as play calling could made a huge difference to a offense badly schemed for the players on hand ~ The Gary Kubiak gang are going to scheme to fit the talent at hand ~ This BS from Paul Allen on KFAN about blowing up the whole OL was Bat Sh#t crazy ~ Cutting the starters on the OL would have saved just enough to pay Reiff for 2019 ~ LOL
I have to believe that the Vikings were on the phone with the Kubiak gang by mid season ~ Zimmer made clear hints early in the season that he was not happy with the offense and that JDF played Bone Head and wouldn't make adjustments ~ Man I have to say I'm so happy JDF is long gone ~
PA meant outside of Reiff, Elflein and O'Neill no one is safe
OK I can live with that ~ I have also read about them wanting to move Reiff to left OG~Easton has been fully cleared to return so I'm guessing he is resigned even if its for only a year~??? Seeing how Remmers flopped so badly at OG why would they want to move Reiff to OG ~ ? I ask because I don't know ~If I'm moving a OT to OG it would be O'Neill because he played both OT and OG spots as well as some TE ~
Some of the stuff being talked about right now is crazy and the above question would seem to fit in ~
