Report: Vikings to Interview John DeFilippo Thursday in Philadelphia

The new Minnesota Vikings offensive coordinator could be announced soon.

According to Albert Breer of the NFL Network, the Vikings will interview Philadelphia Eagles QB coach John DeFilippo for their Offensive Coordinator vacancy Thursday.

The Eagles gave the Vikings permission to interview DeFilippo before his contract with the team expires. It was originally reported the Vikings would have to wait until February 14th to speak with the coach. The two sides will meet in Philadelphia so he can participate in planned Super Bowl celebration activities.

Other candidates for the position include current Vikings QB coach Kevin Stefanski, former Vikings and Seahawks offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell, Texans QB coach Sean Ryan and Saints assistant head coach Dan Campbell, who is reportedly interviewing for the Colts’ heading coach job today.

  1. And ex-Vikings HC Leslie Frazier will be interviewing for the Colts HC job in the wake of Josh McDaniels leaving the Colts at the altar. Holy Crap.
