Semi-Finalists Set—What Can the Vikes Learn?
Vikings Territory Breakdown Podcast
With a winning record of 9-8 this season, the Minnesota Vikings finished just one-half game out of the playoffs this season. (The Green Bay Packers made it ahead of them thanks to their tie in Dallas.) But you would hardly know it given the wailing and gnashing of teeth regarding how the 2025 season went for the Purple. Injuries derailed them and spotty quarterback play cemented an early end to their season.
But hope springs eternal in the NFL, and perhaps that begins by examining the four semi-finalists are this year and how they differ from the Vikings (or are the same). The Los Angeles Rams, Seattle Seahawks, New England Patriots and Denver Broncos represent the final four of professional football, and the rest of the teams and their fans are onlookers. The four finalists have good defenses, so, in that regard, the Vikings aren’t far away. But not making the playoffs means they have some work to do.
So, what must the Vikings do to get to the dance next season? Well, the fellas at the Vikings Territory Breakdown podcast, Joe Oberle, senior writer at vikingsterritory.com and purplePTSD.com and Mark Craig, NFL and Vikings writer for the Star Tribune and startribune.com) plan to discuss that. Tune in and check it out. Skol
