Draft Day’s Done, So, the Vikings’ Work Begins
Vikings Territory Breakdown Podcast
With the 2026 NFL Draft in the rearview mirror (and the mock drafts for 2027 already coming out), it is time for the teams to finish their post-draft work and start preparing for their OTAs (Organized Team Activities). One annual Vikings post-draft program includes the head coach meeting with the local media and conducting a film session. The yearly session pulls back the shroud of what goes on behind the scenes at TCO Performance Center, and offers the media a bit of insight into what the coaches and personnel department officials are thinking as they assemble the roster each year.
Of course, and unfortunately, this session and what is said there are off the record, so there are no stories coming out about it. But that won’t stop the fellas at the Vikings Territory Breakdown podcast—Joe Oberle, senior writer at vikingsterritory.com and purplePTSD.com, and Mark Craig, NFL and Vikings writer for the Star Tribune and startribune.com—from considering what they are thinking. We will speculate on that.
The Vikings selected nine new players and then signed a slew of undrafted free agents, so we’ll look at what the roles and impact of these players might be in the coming NFL season. Plus, the Wilfs announced the team’s pursuit of a new general manager has begun in earnest, and we will certainly talk about that. Tune in and check it out. Skol!
