Vikings Territory Breakdown

It’s all quiet on the eastern front—that front being the Vikings training facility (TCO Performance Center) located in the eastern part of the Twin Cities in Eagan, Minn. The Vikings are all scattered in far-flung parts of the world awaiting training camp’s start at the end of July—so that leaves us ink-stained wretches—the co-hosts of Vikings Territory Breakdown podcast (Joe Oberle, senior writer at vikingsterritory.com and purplePTSD.com and Mark Craig, NFL and Vikings writer for the Star Tribune and startribune.com) scrambling for something to talk about.

But that has never been a problem for these two old Purple critics.

There are some small news items to discuss (big news is not always good news in the offseason), such as whether or not the team will sign another CB or not (a question we will be asking/pondering until the season begins, perhaps). There are clickbait headline speculations to shout down and rumors to discount. And there are always rankings to consider, such as Randy Moss, Justin Jefferson, Steve Hutchinson, and Jared Allen all making ESPN’s Ultimate 53-man roster since 2000. (So many great stars; so few Lombardi trophies.)

We’re also continuing our new segment during these quiet offseason days (Does the NFL know it doesn’t have our full attention right now?) in which we check out a few of the “100 Things Vikings Should Know and Do Before They Die.” So, tune into the podcast and plan your week of Purple activity. Hope you liked the segment last week and look forward to this one. In the meantime, Skol!
