6 Trades That Would Make the Vikings Unstoppable

Minnesota Vikings general manager Kwesi Adofo-Mensah enjoys trading draft picks and players more than most.
6 Trades That Would Make the Vikings Unstoppable
Many Vikings enthusiasts expect the young executive to trade his 24th overall draft pick for selections in three weeks, which could very well come to fruition.
But what if he trades that pick or others for a current NFL player, not merely more draft picks?
These six players, acquired by Minnesota via trade, could make the 2025 Vikings unstoppable. They’re listed in ascending order (No. 1 = most realistic trade).
6. Tyreek Hill (WR)
The Trade:
Vikings Get —
Tyreek Hill
2026 5th-Rounder
Dolphins Get —
2026 3rd-Rounder
Tyreek Hill may or may not legitimately be in the trade rumor mill. The saga seems to go back and forth daily.

But in this scenario, Minnesota would offload a 3rd-Round asset for an aging Hill, hoping to strike while the iron is hot with Hill’s final few productive seasons. J.J. McCarthy would fling the rock to Justin Jefferson, Tyreek Hill, Jordan Addison, and T.J. Hockenson on Sundays.
Who says no?
It’s worth noting that Hill isn’t shy about proclaiming Vikings fandom from his childhood.
5. Sauce Gardner (CB)
The Trade:
Vikings Get —
Sauce Gardner
Jets Get —
No. 24 Pick
2026 2nd-Rounder
The internet has suggested this trade for about a month, sourced from a sketchy Twitter account that has actually turned out to be correct with outlandish proclamations more than a few times.

Minnesota would obtain a lockdown cornerback, and with Gardner on the roster, one could make a case for Minnesota’s 2025 depth chart as the most stacked since the 1970s.
4. Quenton Nelson (G)
The Trade:
Vikings Get —
Quenton Nelson
Colts Get —
Pick No. 97
Minnesota pulls off the full Colts offensive line heist, adding Nelson via trade and smashing him together with Will Fries and Ryan Kelly, two former Colts who joined the purple team via free agency last month.

Nelson is a five-time All-Pro and hasn’t yet turned 30. The 2025 offensive line would be the Minnesota Colts.
3. Kyle Pitts (TE)
The Trade:
Vikings Get —
Kyle Pitts
Falcons Get —
Pick No. 139 (Round 5)
2026 5th-Rounder
Kyle Pitts is the Atlanta Falcons’ version of Irv Smith Jr. Every offseason, folks proclaim — mainly the fantasy football community — that “this is Pitts’ year,” and then nothing happens.

In Minnesota, he’d pair with T.J. Hockenson, and Kevin O’Connell’s offense would feature the New England Patriots’ throwback approach with Rob Gronkowski and Aaron Hernandez, which worked quite well until Hernandez became revealed as a real mercenary.
2. Denzel Ward (CB)
The Trade:
Vikings Get —
Denzel Ward
Pick No. 67 (Round 3)
Browns Get —
Pick No. 24
Kwesi Adofo-Mensah worked for the Cleveland Browns before joining the Vikings as the top boss, so he has tangible ties to that front office.

Cleveland must begin to clear out of the rubble from Deshaun Watson’s contract, and it may not be able to afford luxury items like Ward. The Browns could trade Ward to Minnesota, and he’d pair with Byron Murphy Jr. to formulate the best CB duo in Minnesota in years.
Bleacher Report even suggested this trade in February.
1. Tariq Woolen (CB)
The Trade:
Vikings Get —
Tariq Woolen
Seahawks Get —
Pick No. 97 (Round 3)
For some reason, the Seahawks tossed Woolen in the doghouse last season, benching him at times and leaving onlookers to ask, “What’s going on?”

With that in mind, Seattle deals Woolen to Minnesota for a fresh start, and defensive coordinator Brian Flores seizes his long-awaited big-bodied, man-coverage cornerback.
