What Minnesota Vikings Fans Need to Know Ahead of Week 13 vs. Seattle Seahawks

The Minnesota Vikings are headed back out on the road this weekend.
After falling to the Green Bay Packers at Lambeau Field last Sunday, this time Minnesota is headed to Seattle to take on the Seahawks. With a 4-7 record, the Vikings are officially in win or go home mode to save their ever-so-slim hopes of making playoffs.
Ahead of this weekend’s game, here is a look at everything Vikings fans need to know.
How to Watch the Minnesota Vikings This Week

This week, the Seahawks and Vikings will be featured as part of the late-afternoon slate on Sunday, November 28. The game kicks off at 3:05 p.m. at Lumen Field and will be broadcast on FOX. The game can also be streamed on NFL+ in the NFL app as well as NFL Sunday Ticket through YouTube TV.
Seahawks vs. Vikings History

Seattle has been a house of horrors for the Minnesota Vikings over the years. The two franchises have matched up a total of 20 times, including one game during the playoffs (Wild Card Game on January 10, 2016).
Overall, Seattle has dominated the all-time series with a record of 13-7 against the Vikings, including a 9-3 record in Seattle. However, the Vikings have won each of the past two matchups in this series, including a win at Lumen Field last season.
Seahawks Spotlight Player: WR Jaxon Smith-Njigba

If the MVP award wasn’t driven so much by quarterback play, Jaxon Smith-Njigba would have a legitimate case for winning the award this season. The wide receiver has been on a torrential pace this year totaling 80 receptions for 1313 yards and seven touchdowns in 11 games.
He’s recorded at least 100 receiving yards in eight of those games, and if he keeps up this pace, Smith-Njigba will finish the year with 124 receptions for an NFL record 2029 yards and 10 or 11 touchdowns. The wide receiver has been crucial to Seattle’s success this year, and the Vikings have a very difficult task in front of them to slow him down.
Vikings Spotlight Player: QB Max Brosmer

It seems unlikely that J.J. McCarthy will be suiting up this weekend for the Vikings, and with that, undrafted rookie Max Brosmer seems in line to make his first NFL start.
The situation doesn’t get much more difficult than this: going on the road against a playoff contender that the Vikings historically have struggled against, and that team also features one of the toughest defenses in the league.
Brosmer also has to deal with the storyline of Sam Darnold, who will attempt to beat the Vikings, who let him walk in free agency this past spring so he could sign a three-year deal with the Seahawks.
Brosmer does have a ton of collegiate experience under his belt, though, which could play to his benefit on Sunday. He started 48 games during his collegiate career, including 13 for the University of Minnesota in 2024.
