PurplePTSD works in partnership with Vikings Territory, similarly doing their utmost to offer top-notch coverage of the Minnesota Vikings. As a result, we’re promoting five of their top articles of the past week in “The P/PTSD Perspective.” Take a peek at some of their best stuff.

The P/PTSD Perspective: March 30th, 2024

1) The Vikings’ Signing that May Be More Important Than Most Realize: Aaron Jones seems like a great bet to revitalize the Vikings’ running game. His contract is much more modest than other free agent signings — both in Minnesota as well as around the league more broadly — but his capacity to give Minnesota a strong rushing attack will go a long way in 2024 being competitive.

2) Vikings Mock Draft: Kwesi Wheels and Deals 3 Trades: The word is out: Kwesi Adofo-Mensah is willing to venture into trades. In fact, the GM put together a half dozen trades in the 2022 NFL Draft before orchestrating a trio in the 2023 NFL Draft. Already, he has pulled one off leading into the 2024 NFL Draft. How many more are upcoming?

3) The Vikings’ Approach to the FA Additions Has Changed: A year ago, the approach was to sign players coming off of humdrum seasons. Dean Lowry and Marcus Davenport were buy-low signings. Fast forward into 2024 and Minnesota is signing several players — Andrew Van Ginkel, Jonathan Greenard, Blake Cashman, etc. — who are coming off of their best seasons.

4) Vikings Defender Heads to Pittsburgh: Mike Tomlin is an excellent head coach and the Steelers have some excellent talent on their defensive front. Ideally, the former Vikings d-lineman can reboot his career in the AFC North, one of the toughest divisions in football.

5) The Vikings’ SNF Debacle Signalled the End for Kirk Cousins: The game began with a triumphant moment from Kirk Cousins, blowing the horn inside U.S. Bank Stadium. By the end of the game, Minnesota was down to a 7-9 record and there had been another QB benching. Oh, and there was the mention of Cousins circulating a video of himself before free agency to prove he’s recovering well.
