PurplePTSD works in partnership with Vikings Territory, similarly doing their utmost to offer top-notch coverage of the Minnesota Vikings. As a result, we’re promoting five of their top articles of the past week in “The P/PTSD Perspective.” Take a peek at some of their best stuff.

The P/PTSD Perspective: November 30th, 2024

1) Vikings Say Goodbye to Young Playmaker: Tough news for Nick Muse. The tight end is the victim of what’s a super deep, talented position in Minnesota. Having all of T.J. Hockenson, Josh Oliver, and Johnny Mundt in town makes it tough for a young guy to break through.

2) Vikings Rookie Could Find Himself One Snap Away from Jumbo Role: Walter Rouse got snagged in the 6th but hasn’t done a ton as a rookie. Christian Darrisaw is the top option but he’s done for the year; Cam Robinson recently got hurt, so his status for Week 13 is uncertain. David Quessenberry would take over as the top LT if Robinson can’t go, but that would leave Rouse as the potential next man up.

3) Vikings Achieve Statistical Milestone Not Seen Since Turn of the Millennium: A lot of ink has been spilled on this topic. Chicago did a really nice job of limiting the damage Justin Jefferson could do. The end result was tremendous performances from Aaron Jones, T.J. Hockenson, and Jordan Addison. Oh, and Sam Darnold did pretty good, too.

4) Vikings Unceremoniously Cut Ties with Once-Promising Defender: Definitely a surprise. Assessing the roster and the IR made it fairly obvious that someone would need to get cut before too long, but seeing a young corner — Akayleb Evans — cut was a surprise.

5) Vikings Linked to Benched QB: In the end, the link was well justified. Not only was there legitimate interest, there has been an actual deal to make the connection official. Daniel Jones will start on Minnesota’s practice squad and could end up being the QB3 on the active roster before too long.
