PurplePTSD works in partnership with Vikings Territory, similarly doing their utmost to offer top-notch coverage of the Minnesota Vikings. As a result, we’re promoting five of their top articles of the past week in “The P/PTSD Perspective.” Take a peek at some of their best stuff.

The P/PTSD Perspective: May 11th, 2024

1) The Vikings Appear to be No. 1 on the List of 2025 Compensatory Picks: The fuse was lit and then the comp pick debate exploded within the broader Vikings discussion taking place online. Nick Korte of Over the Cap — genuinely, he does good work — suggested that a single 3rd was coming for Minnesota, but that’s a claim that is being contested.

2) Veteran Tight End Will Join Vikings Minicamp: Basically all anyone can hope for in the NFL is a chance. What a player does with that chance is what matters. The tight end will be hoping to show the coaches enough to keep getting invites back to the next steps in the offseason. If he aces every test, then maybe there’s a lasting contract in Minnesota before it’s all said and done.

3) These Eight Vikings Free Agents Remain Unsigned in 2024: Similar to the comp pick discussion, the Dalton Risner discussion has been alive and well over the past week. Undoubtedly, he’s the major name on the list of remaining Vikings FAs. Any chance the LG1 comes back to Minnesota?

4) Brian Flores Describes “A Little Bit of Shock” Behind Vikings Pick: Keep in mind that the coach has a background as a scout. Few coaches in the NFL are more qualified when it comes to evaluating personnel. One has to assume that Flores will be cooking up something extra special for Mr. Turner.

5) Brian Flores Drops an Interesting Comparison for New Vikings Pass Rusher: When the DC speaks, we should listen. Flores looks at Turner and sees some similarities to a former Patriots defender who had a lot of success over a long career.
