Vikings Open 2024 Training Camp at TCO

Vikings Territory Breakdown Podcast

Vikings general manager Kwesi Adolfo-Mensah and head coach Kevin O’Connell met the media Monday afternoon for their first press conference of the team’s 2024 Training Camp at TCO Performance Center, and the mood was slightly somber. They addressed the tragic passing of rookie cornerback Khyree Jackson, laying out how the team will honor him in the coming season.

As is typical of this well-run organization, the owners Zigi and Mark Wilf will pay out the remainder of Jackson’s signing bonus to his estate and help the family pay for funeral expenses. Jackson’s locker will be sealed off and go used this year, while the players will wear KJ decals on their helmets throughout the 2024 NFL season.

KAM and KOC answered questions on wide receiver Jordan Addison, who recently had the second off-field incident of his young career with the Vikings. They also talked about the progress of tight end T.J. Hockenson, who injured his knee last season and reported to camp on Monday.

Camp begins this week and the first practice open to the public is on Saturday, July 27. But in the meantime, the fellas at Vikings Territory Breakdown podcast (Joe Oberle, senior writer at vikingsterritory.com and purplePTSD.com and Mark Craig, NFL and Vikings writer for the Star Tribune and startribune.com) are on hand to get you prepared for it.
