The P/PTSD Perspective: Dantzler’s Strange Odyssey, The Trade Radar, & GB Adds Another QB
PurplePTSD works in partnership with Vikings Territory, similarly doing their utmost to offer top-notch coverage of the Minnesota Vikings. As a result, we’re promoting their top 5 articles of the past week in “The P/PTSD Perspective.” Take a peak at some of their best stuff.
The P/PTSD Perspective: July 22nd, 2023
1) The Peculiar Vikings Odyssey of Cam Dantzler: The enigmatic corner still has a lot of supporters in The Gopher State. A promising rookie season foreshadowed a long-term starter at one of the game’s most important positions — corner — but the former 3rd-round selection is now onto his 3rd NFL team. Meanwhile, the Vikings have a need for help at corner.
2) A Trade Could Be on the Vikings Radar Heading Into 2023 Season: Yes, it most certainly could be. Kwesi Adofo-Mensah has repeatedly proven that he’s fond of the trade, and one wonders what will happen next. I’ve got my eye on a few players.
3) The Danielle Hunter Deadlock May Have Just Gotten Easier to Navigate: Simply another data point in the ongoing saga that is Danielle Hunter’s contract issue. The possibility is there that the deal for Pittsburgh’s younger pass rusher helps to clarify the path forward for Hunter and Minneosota.
4) The Road to 53: OLB Andre Carter’s Skills Aren’t Overhyped: Long and strong, Carter has a shot at sticking around the roster. Given the (relatively) massive amount given to him as an UDFA, Carter should be viewed as one of the favorites to snag a depth spot. He’ll be battling against D.J. Wonnum, Patrick Jones II, and Luiji Vilain (among others).
5) Vikings Rivals Make Another Interesting Move at the Quarterback Position: Unless something truly unforeseen develops, the Green Bay QB situation will continue to inspire very little confidence. Maybe Jordan Love has what it takes to get the job done, but he is stepping into a tough spot given that he’s replacing Aaron Rodgers (who replaced Brett Favre).
Enjoy the extra reading, Vikings fans.
