PurplePTSD works in partnership with Vikings Territory, similarly doing their utmost to offer top-notch coverage of the Minnesota Vikings. As a result, we’re promoting five of their top articles of the past week in “The P/PTSD Perspective.” Take a peak at some of their best stuff.

The P/PTSD Perspective: September 16th, 2023

1) Dalton Risner Says He’s “Ready” to Play for the Vikings: The performance on Thursday Night Football won’t be quieting the enthusiasm for adding Dalton Risner. Minnesota’s maligned offensive line could certainly use some help, so keep an eye on this one.

2) Vikings QB Kirk Cousins Honestly Reacts to Mistakes in Week 1 Loss: Cousins is usually pretty candid in his press conferences. Indeed, one of his redeeming qualities is his ability to get in front of a mic and be his genuine self. The QB is a pro and is unafraid of taking on questions while reflecting on his own mistakes.

3) 10 Reactions to Vikings Loss vs. Buccaneers: Lots to unpack in that Bucs game. Plenty more to unpack in that Eagles game. The Vikings aren’t going anywhere until they find a way of holding onto the football.

4) The Vikings Got Some Salary Cap Relief Over the Weekend: Getting more cap space is fine and dandy, but keep in mind that cap space is just a means to an end. Having room to add talent isn’t the same thing as having a talented roster. The wise GM knows how to use the money to onboard strong players capable of propelling a team up Mount Lombardi.

5) Kevin O’Connell Accepts Some Blame in “Random Left Arm Punch” from the Ed Ingram & Kirk Cousins Fumble: The head coach offered some reflections on the infamous play, even suggesting that he’s a bit to blame for the play call. Even as he did, though, he was suggesting that it was simply a random mistake that is very unlikely to be repeated. Let’s collectively hope it doesn’t happen again.
