Training camp occurs in Eagan. For 52 years, the franchise conducted summer activities at Minnesota State University in Mankato, but TCO Performance Center opened for camp in 2018, and the Vikings have held the summer event there ever since.

The 2023 edition will be the second at the helm for head coach Kevin O’Connell and general manager Kwesi Adofo-Mensah after taking over for Mike Zimmer and Rick Spielman early in 2022. The pair produced a 13-4 record in 2022, a division title for the first time since 2017, and only the third 13-win season in team history.

Vikings Should Pass on

Among the Vikings most fascinating summer battles include the WR2, RB2, NT, DT, CB2, CB3, FS, and perhaps kicker. Minnesota could also have a contractual standoff with Danielle Hunter, who was absent from organized team activities and mandatory minicamp. Hunter is seeking a contract extension as his deal signed with the aforementioned Spielman is drawing to a close after five years. His extension could be reached by the time training camp begins. Hunter could also be traded.

Reigning Offensive Player of the Year Justin Jefferson stated at minicamp he would attend training camp in July with or without a contract extension. Like Hunter, Jefferson is eligible for an extension.

Oddsmakers believe Minnesota will win about eight or nine games in 2023, the same forecast attached to the team at this time last year. The Vikings have about +4000 or +5000 odds to win the Super Bowl this season, depending on the sportsbook.
