A Vikings Training Camp Round—Week 2

Vikings Territory Breakdown Podcast

The Vikings are making moves as they were well into their second week of training camp at TCO Performance Center. The injury bug has jumped up and bit them and forced several moves to fill out their training camp roster. The names of the injured parties range from non-essential players to potential starters, but depth is always key going into a season and right now the Vikings personnel staff is working to bolster it.

Defensive lineman James Lynch comes in with the most serious injury noted to date. He tore his ACL and is out for the season after battling back from an injury in 2022 to get on the field the training camp field. So it was a considerable blow to him and the defensive’s depth, which was not great, to begin with. And a nicked-up receiving corps has resulted in numerous signings to backfill that unit as we he toward the team’s first preseason game.

The Vikings Territory Breakdown Boys (Mark Craig, NFL Insider and Vikings writer for the Star Tribune and Joe Oberle, senior writer from vikingsterritory and purplePTSD) are on hand to sort through it all. Including some news about Andrew Booth back on the field and Danielle Hunter ramping up his work. They will also take a look at the team’s first depth chart which was released this week and talk about what they are looking for in the first preseason game of the year—Thursday night in Seattle. Tune in and check it out!
