The National Folks Picking the Jets over Vikings

The Minnesota Vikings (9-2) are three-point favorites three days before a showdown with the New York Jets (7-4) in Week 13.
The Jets crushed the Chicago Bears, 31-10, in Week 12 at home, keeping pace with the Buffalo Bills and Miami Dolphins in the high-flying AFC East. The Vikings toppled the Jets foe, the Patriots, by a score of 33-26 on Thanksgiving night.
According to NFLPickWatch, a website that logs NFL experts’ weekly picks, about 80% of folks believe Minnesota will take down New York at U.S. Bank Stadium in Week 13. The Vikings have a 3-8 (.272) all-time record against the Jets.
A handful of notable personalities forecast a Jets win over Minnesota, though, as the Vikings will experience a New York team that recently benched Zach Wilson, the second overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, for Mike White. The Vikings are 3-0 in 2022 against teams led by backup quarterbacks.

Michael Davis Smith from Pro Football Talk said about the Vikings-Jets matchup, “I’m a Mike White believer. He’ll show that he’s been the Jets best quarterback all along and deliver a win in Minnesota.”
Bleacher Report staff flirted with the idea of picking the Jets but ultimately decided, “this is more about the Vikings, a team many consider to be pretenders despite their 9-2 record. With only three points to worry about and the potential for White to come back down to earth a bit, I’m rolling with the better overall team in this one.”
The Vikings need two wins, two Detroit Lions losses, or a combination thereof to win the NFC North.
If the Vikings are triumphant, they’ll be 10-2 in a season for the first time since 2017.
