Minnesota has missed the postseason in back-to-back seasons, hoping to avoid the trend in 2022. If they do not, 2022 would be the first time since 2005 to 2007 that the Vikings missed the playoffs three years in a row.
The Vikings haven’t entered the playoff tournament with a first-year head coach since 1992, when Dennis Green led the team to an 11-5 record. In fact, Green is the only head coach in the Vikings 61-year history to reach the postseason in his inaugural season.
