The biggest name on this list is former Washington quarterback Jake Browning. According to Tom Pelissero of the NFL Network, Browning received $140K guaranteed on his contract from the Vikings. For reference, Sean Mannion has $90K in guarantees in his one-year deal. It’ll be interesting to see how Browning fares during OTAs and training camp.
It was originally reported that Stefon’s brother, Mar’Sean Diggs, would be signed as an undrafted free agent. Turns out the Vikings must be saving that spot for someone else’s brother because he was brought in as a minicamp tryout invite. The rookie minicamp will take place later this week (Friday-Sunday). You can see a list of players who are reportedly invited to the camp here.
One would speculate the last remaining roster spot would be used on a kicker to compete with Dan Bailey, but who are we kidding? It’ll probably be a cornerback.
