The Minnesota Vikings have announced the players that will be inactive for tonight’s game against the Green Bay Packers. As expected, the four players listed as OUT on the team’s injury report will not play. Those players include Chad Beebe, Ben Gedeon, David Morgan and Andrew Sendejo. Here are the remaining players that will be held out of Sunday’s divisional showdown in Minneapolis.
- WR Chad Beebe
- LB Ben Gedeon
- TE David Morgan
- S Andrew Sendejo
- QB Kyle Sloter
- DL Jalyn Holmes
- RB Mike Boone
Andrew Sendejo will miss his sixth straight game with a groin issue and David Morgan will miss his second consecutive game with a knee injury. Anthony Harris has done a fantastic job filling in during Sendejo’s absence. He’ll make his fourth consecutive start tonight. Rookie tight end Tyler Conklin will again sub for Morgan.
With Gedeon ruled out due to a concussion, Eric Wilson and Kentrell Brothers will likely take the majority of snaps in his place. Gedeon is generally used as a run stopper out of the 4-3 base formation.
Ameer Abdullah is active for his second straight game as a Viking. He returned two kicks for 57 yards (an average of 28.5 yards) last game against the Bears and caught one target out of the backfield for ten yards. Wide receiver Chad Beebe will miss his first game of the season due to a hamstring injury. He could wind up missing multiple weeks with the issue.
The Vikings will get linebacker Anthony Barr (hamstring) back against the Packers. He was a full participant in practice all week. Head coach Mike Zimmer said Barr makes the Vikings defense more versatile. We’ll see if he’s able to make an impact in his first game since Week 7 (at Jets).
Also returning to the lineup will be left guard Tom Compton. Compton started last game but took himself out during the third quarter due to discomfort stemming from a sprained MCL. Danny Isidora subbed for Compton during his absence.
Here are Green Bay’s inactive players:

- CB Kevin King
