This is just a quick note to let you all know that I have updated my 2012 NFL Mock Draft.
There are some major changes that might interest you, but the Vikings third overall selection has not changed, despite Rick Spielman’s best efforts to convince us he wants to select Morris Claiborne.
Click here to check it out, and feel free to question/criticize/praise my choices in the comments section.

Overall I think it's a good mock. One thing I did notice though is Harrison Smith going to the Packers.
I hope that doesn't happen because I would like to see him in purple. Could be a steal in the 2nd to early 3rd round. Vikes could really use him. I know it's wishful thinking.
Any guesses to 2nd round for the Vikes?
I also think he'd be a solid addition for the Vikes at 35... not thinking it is likely he falls, however.
Adam, have you considered adding a 2nd/3rd round?
Hope to have it by the end of the week (round two, anyways)... pick 35 should be fun to decide.
Im seeing Donta Hightower, Mo Sanu/Stephen Hill, or Alfonso Denard (based on your round 1).
Love the Hill/Sanu pick. Doubt Hightower will make it to round 2.
Adam,
I know it seems like the best option to go with Kalil for our pick and I'm thinking it probably will be. But I was wondering if there is anyone in FA or a possible trade that could fill the LT roll giving us a chance at Blackmon or Claibourne? I just feel like those 2 have such a high ceiling that its hard to watch them pass.
Hey Luke, thanks for the comment!
In theory, the Vikings might be able to chase a guy like Marcus McNeil prior to the Draft. Getting McNeil and drafting, say, Claiborne, wouldn't seem like a bad scenario at all. The problem, however, is it would make the Vikings options for sliding back a bit much slimmer. A. They've tipped their hand in advance by grabbing McNeil. B. They won't want to trade back too far out of fear that an O-Lineman will be the best available at that point.
McNeil is really the only free agent out there that should be a starting LT in the NFL available at this point... and his back injury should be a huge red flag.
For the vikings the back injury should seal the deal, McNeil is ours
