Anoka County Releases Caleb King, And So Do Vikes

By Adam Warwas

I imagine it was a good feeling for Caleb King to walk out of an Anoka County jail on Tuesday, but probably not as good of a feeling to find he isn’t only a free person but also a free agent.

The Vikings released King on Tuesday after he spent three days in jail on suspicion of severely beating a man at a party who supposedly teased King for looking like Eddie Murphy.  King has not yet been charged.

The Vikings seemingly placed a great emphasis on talent, leadership, and character in this weekend’s Draft.  The decision to cut King, a player that would likely be nothing more than the third running back, should surprise nobody.

  • How stupid. All this over some dude saying Caleb King looked like Eddie Murphy? What's wrong with looking like Eddie Murphy anyway?

Through the magic of technology and photoshops, your old pal Fragile put a side by side picture together of Caleb the night of the party (on the left) and Ed Murphy (on the right). Freds doesn't see even the slightest resemblance. Kind of weird that Caleb was packing "heat" the night of the party don't you think?.

  • Junior Seau found in bedroom by girlfriend with fatal gunshot wound to chest, incident being investigated as suicide.

  • How sad, Iv'e been depressed at times in my life but never to the point of taking my life.
You wonder what's going on in someone to get them to that point...

  • Your old pal Fragile can tease virtually anyone about anything, but not suicide. A very sad day for Seau's loved ones. So many opinions are heard about this topic, from vanity, to selfishness, to football injury, to mental illness and on and on. Let's just agree that it is sad when one gets to a point of ending his or her life. So sad.

  • Just had a 13-year old girl in our area make the same decision over the past weekend. A big part of it appears to have been social network bullying. No argument with you Freds, its just sad, sad, sad...
