Mike Wallace caught three balls for 50 yards as Teddy Bridgewater went 7/7 for 76 yards on the game and helped the Vikings take an early 3-0 first quarter lead. The Vikings got on the board first with a 28 yard Blair Walsh field goal that was set up by a 39 yard completion from Bridgewater to Wallace on a second and seven from mid field.

Dallas wasted little time finding the end zone on the first play of the second quarter when Tony Romo hit Terrance Williams on a deep pass over the middle for 60 yards and the score. Romo was 5/8 for 88 yards and two touchdowns.

On the following kickoff, Cordarrelle Patterson returned the ball to the house from 7 yards deep reminding everyone why he is such a dangerous weapon as a returner.

Romo and the Cowboys took a 14-13 lead into halftime on a 8-yard pass to Lucky Whitehead that was set up by a 40 yard punt return by Cole Beasley.

The Vikings defense held the Cowboys out of the end zone in the second half and Dominique Williams and Joe Banyard each had touchdown runs to help the Vikings pick up their fourth consecutive preseason win. Taylor Heinicke was 11/11 for 83 yards as he continues to make his case that he belong on a 53-man roster somewhere in the NFL.

The Vikings defense held the Cowboys to just 10 first downs and 194 total yards. The Vikings were led by Gerald Hodges 4 solo tackles.
