The P/PTSD Perspective: Kyler Murray as Starter, QB1 Praise, and Former WR Bidding War

PurplePTSD works in partnership with Vikings Territory, similarly doing their utmost to offer top-notch coverage of the Minnesota Vikings. As a result, we’re promoting five of their top articles of the past month in “The P/PTSD Perspective.” Take a peek at some of their best stuff.
The P/PTSD Perspective: June 27th, 2026
1) Kyler Murray Gets Glowing Endorsement for Vikings Starter: Nobody doubts Murray’s talent. He remains more gifted than the overwhelming majority of quarterbacks in the NFL. What’s going to be fascinating to see is how much better he looks in training camp. Some have speculated that the former Cardinal was the locked-in starter but that’s not so. He needs to earn it.

2) J.J. McCarthy Keeps Receiving Positive Reviews: At the risk of being a touch contrarian, I remain a believer in McCarthy. That does not mean he’ll necessarily be the starter in 2026 and become the Vikings’ franchise passer. What it does mean, though, is that the 23-year-old quarterback is going to figure it out before his career is done.
3) Former Vikings Receiver Remains Available to the Highest Bidder: As it relates to Mr. Diggs, talent isn’t the issue. He’s now a touch older and has never boasted hulking size. But, to be sure, Diggs is such a natural at receiver. Teams will nevertheless be hesitant due to concerns about some of his off-field issues.

4) Vikings Skipper Raises Some Hype for 1st-Round Selection: DT Caleb Banks boasts massive potential. What’s standing in his way is that he has been hurt. The positive update that arrives is that he’s getting better and should be ready to roll for training camp in late July.
5) Jordan Addison Trade Pitch Teams Him Up with All-Pro QB: The NFL’s interest makes a lot of sense. Addison is a young, explosive receiver who has had several off-field issues since becoming a Minnesota Viking. Seeing him moved before the season appears supremely unlikely. What could (still not likely) occur is a trade deadline move if things go terribly for the Vikings.
