An NFL Insider Just Described a Vikings Dream Scenario

Would you like to see a Minnesota Vikings offense featuring Justin Jefferson, Jordan Addison, T.J. Hockenson, Kyler Murray, and Jeremiyah Love? Pull up a seat at the table; NFL.com’s Daniel Jeremiah has a plan.
One bold proposal just gave Vikings fans something to daydream about.
Jeremiah went wild this week, describing utopian-but-realistic Vikings offensive strategy for 2026, one that could actually play out.
The Splashy Plan Would Load Up Minnesota’s Offense
The Vikings’ fantasy football team has been constructed — in theory.

Jeremiah: Vikings Should Get Kyler Murray, Jeremiyah Love
Jeremiah has it all figured out. Perhaps the Vikings should hire him as the next general manager.
He said on Move the Sticks this week, “If you’re a Minnesota Vikings fan and you look up next year and you’ve got Kyler Murray at quarterback, you’ve got Justin Jefferson, and you’ve got Jordan Addison, and, you’re sitting there with pick No. 18, and you look at the way this draft is shaking out, and you look at a team like Washington, who’s picking seventh. Washington, at that point in time, they do not have a second-round pick.”
“They do not have a fourth-round pick. They only have six picks overall. I think there’s a way Minnesota could get from 18 to 7 without even parting with next year’s 1. I think they have two threes this year; it could be a second-round pick next year.”
The proposal caught fire among purple fans because it’s not incredibly far-fetched.
Kyler Is … Pretty Damn Realistic
Geno Smith joined the New York Jets via trade on Tuesday. Daniel Jones is nearing an extension with the Indianapolis Colts. The Atlanta Falcons signed Tua Tagovailoa. Aaron Rodgers will probably re-up with the Pittsburgh Steelers because Mike McCarthy is in charge. And Kirk Cousins is old.
That paves the way for Murray to Minnesota, and betting markets overwhelmingly suggest Minnesota is the frontrunner to secure his services.
NFL Network‘s Ian Rapoport also said Tuesday, “He has not been announced as a free agent by the Arizona Cardinals despite the fact that he took to the Twitter machine and said goodbye himself. So that means teams that are interested, Tom, including the Minnesota Vikings, who I think it’s fair to say, as we’ve been reporting, are a favorite to sign Kyler Murray, have not been able to speak with him.”
“I expect that to ramp up tomorrow when his release is official, but until and unless the Arizona Cardinals go public with their plans to say goodbye to Kyler Murray, he is stuck in a little bit of a limbo situation, and you and I can spend 24 hours or more kinda just talking around it.”
Murray to the Vikings feels like the NFL’s worst-kept secret as of March 10th.
Love Trade Would Take Some Creativity
Love helped his draft stock at the NFL Combine a couple of weeks ago — and then some. He’s expected to be selected somewhere in the Top 8 picks; his talent profile is that profound.
Therefore, Jeremiah’s trade proposal would look like this:
Vikings Get —
7th Overall Pick (Jeremiyah Love)
Commanders Get —
18th Overall Pick
2026 3rd-Rounder
2026 3rd-Rounder
2027 2nd-Rounder
That’s the way to balance trade calculators and ensure that Washington gets a bang for its buck.

Otherwise, if the Vikings must trade up to the Tennessee Titans‘ spot for Love to be safe, the deal might have to resemble this:
Vikings Get —
4th Overall Pick (Jeremiyah Love)
Titans Get —
18th Overall Pick
2027 1st-Rounder
2026 5th-Rounder
Bleacher Report‘s Damian Parson on Love: “Jeremiyah Love is the ‘new age’ bell cow running back who does not have to leave the field. Love is a dynamic and explosive running back who possesses the skill set to be a complete weapon in an NFL offense. He combines home-run top-end speed with route-running and pass-catching ability to impact the offense in multiple ways.”
“Great combination of top-end speed, agility, and explosiveness, making him a dangerous threat with the football at all times. The defense must close the space between them quickly, or he will hit the sideline in full stride after breaking through the first level.”
More Trade Packages for Love
Or — the Vikings could pursue the angle of trading a veteran player.
Example:
Vikings Get —
7th Overall Pick (Jeremiyah Love)
Commanders Get —
18th Overall Pick
Jonathan Greenard
2026 6th-Rounder
— or —
Vikings Get —
4th Overall Pick (Jeremiyah Love)
Titans Get —
18th Overall Pick
Jordan Addison
2026 5th-Rounder

Proposals in that arena would probably get the job done, and voila, Kevin O’Connell’s offense would showcase Murray, Love, Jefferson, (perhaps) Addison, and Hockenson in 2026.
How’s that for excitement?
