The Minnesota Vikings still have not found a way to win back-to-back games this season as last weekend’s game ended in a loss to the Baltimore Ravens.

Now, the Vikings are back at U.S. Bank Stadium this weekend for another divisional game, playing host to the Chicago Bears for their second matchup of the season. Here is a look at what Vikings fans need to know ahead of that game while Minnesota tries to get to 5-5.

The Chicago Bears and Minnesota Vikings will kick off at 12 p.m. Central on Sunday, November 16 inside U.S. Bank Stadium. The game will be broadcast on FOX and can be streamed via NFL+ in the NFL app as well as NFL Sunday Ticket on YouTube TV.

Bears vs. Vikings History

The Minnesota Vikings and Chicago Bears met earlier this season during Week 1 to begin the year. Of course, the Vikings snuck out of Soldier Field with a win during that game. Now, this Sunday will mark the 130th matchup between the two teams as the Vikings have the all-time series lead with a 69-58-2.

However, the two teams have only met one time during the playoffs, which occurred on New Year’s Day in 1995 when the Bears defeated the Vikings in a Wild Card matchup.

Bears Spotlight Player: RB D’Andre Swift

The Bears have managed to sneak away from games with wins lately, and at least part of the reason for that has been the efforts out of their backfield. This group has been led by D’Andre Swift all year, and he has been spectacular lately.

Swift missed Chicago’s Week 9 game against the Cincinnati Bengals, but in the last four games he’s played, Chicago is 3-1. During those games, Swift has totaled 58 carries for 375 yards and a pair of touchdowns. He’s averaging nearly 6.5 yards per carry.

The Vikings’ run defense has either been very good or very bad over their past four games. They have two games of allowing less than 100 rushing yards, and they have two games over allowing more than 150 rushing yards. They are 0-2 in the games allowing at least 150 rushing yards. They will need to find a way to stop Swift and Co. on Sunday if they want to come away with a win.

Vikings Spotlight Player: OLB Dallas Turner

Sunday looks like another big chance for a young Vikings defender. Dallas Turner has not had the greatest start to the 2025 season, despite getting plenty of run on the defense with the absence of Andrew Van Ginkel earlier in the year

Turner has started five games this year, but he has totaled a measly three tackles for loss and just 1.5 sacks. Now, though, he has a chance in front of him to make an impact on Sunday.

Jonathan Greenard left last Sunday’s game against the Baltimore Ravens with a shoulder injury, and he is yet to practice this week. Assuming Greenard doesn’t make a miraculous turnaround over the next couple days, it looks like Turner could be making his sixth start. Hopefully, this time works out differently.
