That one hurt.

Week 9 wrapped up the first half of the 2025 regular season, and it was the worst week of the season so far for the picks as we went 5-9. As we head into Week 10 and the second half of the regular season, there’s a lot of ground to be made up to get back to the .500 mark after a couple putrid weekends.

Before we get into the Week 10 NFL picks, here is a look back at how we fared this past weekend:

  • Ravens -7.5 (W)
  • Bengals +2.5 (L)
  • Lions -8.5 (L)
  • Packers -13.5 (L)
  • Chargers -9.5 (L)
  • Patriots -5.5 (L)
  • 49ers -2.5 (W)
  • Colts -3.5 (L)
  • Broncos +1.5 (W)
  • Jaguars -2.5 (L)
  • Rams -14.5 (W)
  • Chiefs -2.5 (L)
  • Seahawks -3.5 (W)
  • Cowboys -2.5 (L)

Season Record: 62-73

Minnesota Vikings running back Aaron Jones Sr. (33) finds a gap and charges forward for yardage during the first half against the Atlanta Falcons on Sep 14, 2025, at U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Las Vegas Raiders vs. Denver Broncos

  • Spread: Broncos -9.5
  • O/U: 42.5 points

Frey’s Pick: Broncos -9.5

The Las Vegas Raiders have been a mess all year long, and the Denver Broncos have now won six straight games after a 1-2 start to the year. Of course, things could get weird with this being a divisional matchup on a Thursday, but Denver has been the far superior team all season long.

Atlanta Falcons vs. Indianapolis Colts

  • Spread: Colts -6.5
  • O/U: 46.5 points

Frey’s Pick: Colts -6.5

The Indianapolis Colts proved that they are indeed beatable after losing to the Pittsburgh Steelers this past weekend, but then they immediately went out and traded to acquire Sauce Gardner from the New York Jets. The already strong defense gets even better, and we’ve seen what the offense is capable of. Against a Falcons team that has been up and down all year, with most of it being down, Indy bounces back.

New York Giants vs. Chicago Bears

  • Spread: Bears -4.5
  • O/U: 46.5 points

Frey’s Pick: Bears -4.5

The Bears very nearly blew last weekend’s game against the Cincinnati Bengals, but they are playing very well right now, particularly on the offensive side of the ball. It’s much harder to trust the Giants offense without Malik Nabers and Cam Skattebo in the lineup, so even though the Bears defense isn’t great, Chicago should be able to win this game comfortably at home.

Buffalo Bills vs. Miami Dolphins

  • Spread: Bills -8.5
  • O/U: 50.5 points

Frey’s Pick: Dolphins +8.5

The Bills probably win this game, but this feels like it could be another letdown spot. Buffalo just put together an emotional win against the Kansas City Chiefs, and now, they have to go on the road against a division rivals. Miami has not had a good year, but this feels like a spot where they could keep a game close.

Baltimore Ravens vs. Minnesota Vikings

  • Spread: Ravens -4.5
  • O/U: 48.5 points

Frey’s Pick: Vikings +4.5

At the risk of drinking the purple Kool-Aid a little too soon, the Vikings defense might be back. Their defensive front wreaked havoc on the Detroit Lions offensive line all afternoon on Sunday, and they have a chance to do the same against Baltimore. On top of that, Minnesota should be able to move the ball against Baltimore’s defense. The Vikings will at least keep this game close even with Lamar Jackson in the lineup.

Cleveland Browns vs. New York Jets

  • Spread: Browns -2.5
  • O/U: 38.5 points

Frey’s Pick: Browns -2.5

I mean, it really doesn’t get much worse than this matchup. The most exciting thing for the Browns and Jets for the rest of this season revolves around where their draft picks ultimately land in April. However, the Browns have an edge here after New York sent multiple stars packing this week. Fun fact: the Browns are 0-5 on the road this year, and the Jets are 0-4 at home. We’ll see who breaks the seal this weekend.

New England Patriots vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

  • Spread: Buccaneers -2.5
  • O/U: 48.5 points

Frey’s Pick: Buccaneers -2.5

This game carries pretty big stakes with it as the winner will be vaulted into the Super Bowl discussion while the loser will carry a slight blemish on its resume. Both teams have played very well all season behind the strength of their quarterbacks, but this feels like a situation where New England’s spotty offensive line comes back to bite them a bit. Buccaneers eke out a win.

New Orleans Saints vs. Carolina Panthers

  • Spread: Panthers -5.5
  • O/U: 39.5 points

Frey’s Pick: Panthers -5.5

A stingy Panthers defense has Carolina above .500 through the first half of the season, and now, they are going up a Saints team that is playing its second consecutive game on the road with Tyler Shough at quarterback. Add in the fact that New Orleans sent one of its key weapons away via trade in Rashid Shaheed, the Panthers pick up another win at home.

Jacksonville Jaguars vs. Houston Texans

  • Spread: Jaguars -1.5
  • O/U: 37.5 points

Frey’s Pick: Texans +1.5

This game could have some major playoff implications in a couple months as both the Jacksonville Jaguars and Houston Texans are trying to keep pace with the AFC Wild Card teams. Jacksonville narrowly escaped the Las Vegas Raiders last week, and despite Houston’s 3-5 record, they still have arguably the best defenses in the NFL. That defense will lead the Texans to a win.

Arizona Cardinals vs. Seattle Seahawks

  • Spread: Seahawks -6.5
  • O/U: 45.5 points

Frey’s Pick: Seahawks -6.5

It’s a short week for the Arizona Cardinals, but they are coming off a very impressive win over the Dallas Cowboys with Jacoby Brissett at quarterback. However, this Seattle Seahawks defense is a completely different beast than what they faced against Dallas. Add in that this game is on the road, and the Seahawks just added Shaheed as another deep threat for Sam Darnold, and this game is a Seattle win.

Los Angeles Rams vs. San Francisco 49ers

  • Spread: Rams -4.5
  • O/U: 49.5 points

Frey’s Pick: 49ers +4.5

This game carries massive stakes with it as both the Los Angeles Rams and San Francisco 49ers could emerge with sole possession of the NFC West lead depending on what happens with Seattle. The 49ers have been banged up all year long, but they continue playing well with Mac Jones at quarterback, and they find a way to keep this game close at home.

Detroit Lions vs. Washington Commanders

  • Spread: Lions -8.5
  • O/U: 49.5 points

Frey’s Pick: Lions -8.5

The Lions will be motivated after being kicked around by the Vikings last Sunday, and the Commanders will once again be without Jayden Daniels after he suffered a dislocated elbow. Detroit wins big in this spot.

Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Los Angeles Chargers

  • Chargers -2.5
  • O/U: 44.5 points

Frey’s Pick: Steelers +2.5

Both of these teams earned impressive victories this past weekend, but the Chargers are without Joe Alt now. That’s bad news against a very tough Steelers defensive front that even gave the Indianapolis Colts trouble last weekend. The Steelers come away with an upset on the road.

Philadelphia Eagles vs. Green Bay Packers

  • Spread: Packers -2.5
  • O/U: 45.5 points

Frey’s Pick: Eagles +2.5

The Packers really need a win here after completing flopping against the Carolina Panthers at home last week, but that’s just another testament to how inconsistent this offense has been all season, particularly against good defenses. The Eagles have a great defense, and they will give Green Bay trouble in this game.
