Warm Christmas Greetings from Vikings Territory

At Vikings Territory (and PurplePTSD), we enthusiastically send along a warm Christmas greetings.
The writing industry — at least the sports writing portion of things — is a difficult one. Few realize the grind that it takes to consistently create content for reader consumption. My experience tells me that many love the idea but seldom do these same people love the reality. Again, a grind.

Now, that’s by no means a complaint. To the contrary, my feeling is of overwhelming thankfulness.
The simple reality of being able to write (and edit) for a living means I’m one of the few fortunate ones, a group of people who are growing increasingly scarce due to the normal attrition, the fiercely competitive nature of the industry, the emergence of AI, and several other factors.
Vikings Territory has so far been resilient. The readers who support us are the main reason why.

We don’t expect everyone to agree with the opinions that get expressed on our platform. Expressing strong opinions means exposing oneself to disagreement. That’s all well and good.
Every click is appreciated. The most obvious reason why is because that’s how we keep the lights on. We’re in the click business, folks. But then there’s the reality of us genuinely desiring to create work that’s of interest to those who follow the team.
Sincerely, please do follow along and give us your support. Means a lot to all of us (from ownership down).

In fact, the best gift one could give us would be to set our site as your home page. Check the site regularly, read the work, and follow us on socials. If you haven’t checked out our partner site — PurplePTSD — then please do. Feel free to share the content, even if there’s a disagreement appended to the post.
Doing so is incredibly appreciated.
Merry Christmas, reader. Be safe, eat good food, and keep following along.
