Vikings TE Signs with Eagles

Nick Muse no longer works for the Minnesota Vikings.
Vikings TE Signs with Eagles
After three seasons attached to the Vikings’ roster and practice squad, the veteran tight end is on the move, joining the Philadelphia Eagles’ practice squad just days before Nick Sirianni and friends take on the Washington Commanders in the NFC Championship.

Eagles.com reporter Chris McPherson wrote Wednesday, “The Eagles announced the following roster moves ahead of their walkthrough on Wednesday: Opened 21-day practice window for WR/PR Britain Covey; Signed OL Cameron Erving and TE Nick Muse to the practice squad; Released DE KJ Henry from practice squad.”
Minnesota handed out over a dozen futures contracts since exiting the postseason via 1st-Round loss to the Los Angeles Rams, but Muse did not make the cut. So, the Eagles swooped, and now Muse plays for that organization.
It’s worth noting that Muse could return to the Vikings’ roster orbit this spring or summer. Stay tuned.

With Muse in the mix, these are Philadelphia’s tight ends for the 2024 NFC Championship:
- Dallas Goedert
- Grant Calcaterra
- E.J. Jenkins
- C.J. Uzomah (IR)
- Cameron Latu (Futures Contract)
- Nick Muse (PS)
Muse, a South Carolina alumnus, has played in 16 regular season games since entering the NFL as a 7th-Round pick in 2022, producing one reception for 22 yards. He totaled 805 receiving yards in 31 games as a Gamecock from 2019 to 2021.
The young tight end said during his pursuit of the 53-man roster last summer, “Not many people get to play in the NFL. This is a dream come true for 99 percent of the little kids. I wanted to be how I am right now.”

Muse last made headlines when the Vikings cut him on his birthday. He made light of his roster waiver and posted a comedic video to X, formerly known as Twitter, saying in November, “Look at that. Look at that. You know what they call that? They call that NFL history. How many times do two brothers both get cut on their birthdays? That’s pretty sick to me. I mean, it’s the wrong side of NFL history, but hey, you win some you lose some. I appreciate your birthday messages, and we vibe.”
Minnesota elevated Muse to the gameday roster three times down the stretch of the 2024 regular season. Since joining the club as an 7th-Round pick in 2022, the Vikings have cut Muse thrice.

His Eagles are favored to win the NFC Championship by six points on Sunday and are the current frontrunner to win the Super Bowl, according to oddsmakers.
Muse will turn 27 next fall.
