Vikings Sign Another Fast WR

They’re not done yet.
Vikings Sign Another Fast WR
In addition to drafting five rookies from Thursday to Saturday and signing 19 undrafted free agents thereafter, the Minnesota Vikings signed another speedy undrafted free agent wide receiver on Wednesday — Indiana Hoosiers wideout Myles Price.
Price (and his 4.39 speed) is a Viking.
Vikings Social Media Announces Myles Price to Minnesota
Minnesota’s main social media account straightforwardly tweeted Wednesday, “The Vikings have agreed to terms with undrafted free agent WR Myles Price.”

Kevin O’Connell’s roster doesn’t necessarily need more WR beef or speed, but the philosophy must be “the more the merrier” with training camp about three months away.
And, on the whole, Vikings fans rarely object to wide receiver signings.
Myles Price’s Bio
Price is 5’9″ and 185 pounds, so he’s a smaller wide receiver, and the type Minnesota has pursued this offseason with a veteran like Rondale Moore and fellow UDFA newcomer Silas Bolden.
IUHoosier.com‘s Pete DePrimio wrote about Price during the draft’s lead-up: “At a listed 5-foot-9 and 183 pounds, Price doesn’t overwhelm with size, but he’s quick and elusive and has the burst and versatility NFL teams seek, and the confidence to back it up. Price helped the Hoosiers produce perhaps the greatest season in program history with an 11-2 record and college playoff participation. He says it made the pain of leaving Texas Tech worth it.”
“Price, who in his one Hoosier season after transferring from Texas Tech caught 38 passes for 466 yards and three touchdowns, ran seven times for 63 yards and a TD, and returned 23 punts for 289 yards with a long of 65 yards, sprints for Mendoza’s deep ball in the manner of Willie Mays’ over-the-shoulder 1954 World Series Game 1 wonder catch.”

DePrimio added, “Price hopes to start making an NFL living starting with next month’s draft. He’s worked hard to prepare, and IU’s Pro Day was a chance to show scouts and coaches what he can do.”
247Sports.com‘s Matt Weaver noted on Price’s college production: “Wideout Myles Price came to Indiana for the 2024 season after playing in the Big 12 for Texas Tech from 2020-23. As a member of the IU program Price had 38 receptions for 466 yards and three touchdowns. He also carried the ball seven times for 63 yards and a touchdown.”
“As a punt returner for the Hoosiers he returned 23 punts for 289 yards with a long of 65 yards. In his four seasons with the Red Raiders the native of Colony, Texas had 161 career catches for 1,751 yards and 10 touchdowns. He also has carried the ball 26 times for 207 yards and two touchdowns. Price was also a returner on special team at Texas Tech, and during his time there he had 20 punt returns for 297 yards, and four kick returns for 59 yards.”
Minnesota’s Current WRs
Price will join this plentiful WR unit in Minnesota:

- Tai Felton
- Rondale Moore
- Silas Bolden
- Tim Jones
- Lucky Jackson
- Thayer Thomas
- Jeshaun Jones

Price’s 2025 Trajectory
Most UDFAs fail to make the team’s 53-man roster, but Price will hope to be a rule exception. His special teams versatility could provide an edge, though, generally speaking, his ceiling with the Vikings might be earning a practice squad spot in September.

But, hey — general manager Kwesi Adofo-Mensah signed him for a reason.

Primary UDFA Highlights
Men like Tyler Batty, Silas Bolden, Max Brosmer, and Logan Brown mostly stole the show for UDFA headlines this week. Batty is 26 and should be more game-ready than most. Bolden could end up on the purple roster as a returner.

Brosmer is from the Minnesota Golden Gophers and has a clear path to the QB4 job. And Logan Brown went undrafted after months of Round 4 or 5 whispers during the draft’s build-up.
Rookie minicamp kicks off in Eagan on May 8th.
