Week 7 of the NFL season is officially in the books, and it brought bad news for Minnesota Vikings fans.

After the Vikings fell to the Philadelphia Eagles at home this past weekend, they are now in last place in the NFC North. Here’s a look at all the action that took place around the division this week.

Bears Win Fourth Straight Game

The Chicago Bears are rolling after they cruised to a win against the New Orleans Saints on Sunday. Chicago won 26-14 behind a superb effort from its running backs and three interceptions of Spencer Rattler by the defense.

The Bears totaled 222 rushing yards on Sunday, headed by 124 yards from D’Andre Swift and 81 yards from Kyle Monangai, the team’s seventh-round pick out of Rutgers from this past spring’s draft.

Chicago now goes on the road to take on the Baltimore Ravens as Baltimore hopes they can get Lamar Jackson back in the lineup following its bye week.

Lions Cruise to Win in Clash of NFC Titans

Detroit Lions defensive end Aidan Hutchinson (97) waves at fans after 24-9 win over Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Ford Field in Detroit on Monday, Oct. 20, 2025.

Monday Night Football featured a battle of two of the top teams in the NFC as the Detroit Lions played host to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. However, by the end of the night, it didn’t look like these two teams were in the same class as the Lions dominated their way to a 24-9.

All the stars showed up for Detroit as Jahmyr Gibbs scored twice, Amon-Ra St. Brown scored, and Aidan Hutchinson recovered a fumble on the defensive side.

It was a big bounce back victory for Detroit after they got beat by the Kansas City Chiefs last week. Now, they get to enter their bye week on a high not before a Week 9 date with the Minnesota Vikings.

Packers Escape Arizona with Nailbiter Victory

Green Bay Packers running back Josh Jacobs (8) runs in for a touchdown against the Arizona Cardinals at State Farm Stadium in Glendale on Oct. 19, 2025.

The Green Bay Packers got quite the test from the Arizona Cardinals despite Kyler Murray still being sidelined with injury. In Murray’s stead, Jacoby Brissett threw for 279 yards and a pair of touchdowns as Arizona jumped out to a 20-13 lead at the end of the third quarter.

However, the fourth quarter was all Packers with a seven-yard touchdown pass between Jordan Love and Tucker Kraft and then another touchdown by Josh Jacobs to seal the deal. Green Bay’s offense continues to put up scuffling numbers, but it has been enough to get into the win column as they now sit at 4-1-1 in the NFC’s No. 1 seed.

Now, the Packers will head back onto the road for a matchup with their old friend, Aaron Rodgers, and the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Vikings Scuffle to Loss vs. Eagles

A 3-3 record is competitive, especially given the injuries that the Vikings have faced this season, but it has not been enough in a very good NFC North division. Their loss to the Philadelphia Eagles at home plummeted Minnesota to the bottom of the division all by their lonesome.

The loss featured a Carson Wentz roller coaster as the veteran QB was consistently off target throughout much of the first half and throwing a pick-six and then another interception on back-to-back pass attempts. Minnesota’s defense held up as long as it could, but a 45-yard reception by A.J. Brown at the end of the game sealed the deal.

The Vikings are in the midst of their toughest stretch of the season as they will now head on the road for a Thursday Night Football matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers.
