6 Bold Trades the Vikings Could Actually Make

Every summer, the Minnesota Vikings, under general manager Kwesi Adofo-Mensah, pull off at least one trade. It’s just the way it goes.
The Vikings may not be done with roster enhancements. These are 6 bold but realistic trades Minnesota could make this summer.
Andrew Booth found his way to the Dallas Cowboys last summer, for example, in exchange for cornerback Nahshon Wright. The trade didn’t really benefit either team.
And if Adofo-Mensah fires off a trade this summer, these are six realistic possibilities. They’re ranked in order of likelihood (No. 1 = most likely).
6. Brian Asamoah to Broncos
Trade Price —
DEN Gets: Brian Asamoah
MIN Gets: 2026 7th-Rounder
It’s unclear whether another team would trade for Asamoah; he may not be a highly sought-after commodity. In fact, the Vikings could waive him in two months during roster trimdowns.
Still, if there’s a market for Asamoah, the Broncos may make sense. Denver employs a defensive coach named Jamar Cain, who worked with Asamoah at the University of Oklahoma.
5. Trevon Diggs to Vikings
Trade Price —
DAL Gets: 2026 3rd Rounder
MIN Gets: Trevon Diggs | 2026 6th-Rounder
Recent momentum suggests the Dallas Cowboys may have found a way to keep Diggs, even if that organization is paying Dak Prescott and CeeDee Lamb megabucks, in addition to Micah Parsons’ contract, which will set NFL records before too long.

If Dallas can’t find the money to pay Diggs, a two-time Pro Bowler, he could be attainable for a mid-round pick. And boom — the Vikings’ starting cornerbacks would be totally settled.
4. Ty Chandler to Ravens
Trade Price —
BAL Gets: Ty Chandler
MIN Gets: 2026 7th-Rounder
Former NFLer Tee Martin offensively coordinated the Tennessee Volunteers for a few seasons from 2016 to 2018, and Ty Chandler attended that school during some of that time.

Martin now works on the Ravens’ offensive coaching staff. There’s a slight chance that Baltimore could bolster its RB depth, with Chandler as a reasonable option as an RB3.
The Top 3 Vikings Trade Proposals of the Summer
Starting with Jalen Ramsey, it’s all downhill from here for Vikings trade theories in the summer of 2025.
3. Jalen Ramsey to Vikings
Trade Price —
MIA Gets: 2026 3rd-Rounder
MIN Gets: Jalen Ramsey | 2027 6th-Rounder
Perhaps the reason you clicked this article — yes, Ramsey to Minnesota is realistic.
He and Kevin O’Connell won the chip together in 2021 as members of the Los Angeles Rams. In sports, those former coach-player ties truly matter. Ramsey’s expensive contract — $24 million AAV — might hinder the trade talks, but there will remain a path for Ramsey to the Vikings until there is not.

Side note: CBS Sports believes Ramsey could be dealt to the Los Angeles Chargers.
Cody Benjamin wrote this week, “Why it makes sense: Ramsey and the Miami Dolphins have basically been broadcasting the cornerback’s trade availability for weeks, anticipating a breakup less than one year after the two sides struck a lucrative contract extension. And early indications are Ramsey would prefer to land in Los Angeles.”
“A reunion with the Rams makes sense given their title aspirations and secondary needs, but the Chargers were reportedly close to swinging a major deal for Metcalf earlier this offseason, so they could be even more primed to part with real draft capital, this time to shore up the back end of Jesse Minter’s defense. They’ve still got north of $25 million in 2025 salary cap space.”
Keep that development in mind.
2. Blake Brandel to Seahawks
Trade Price —
SEA Gets: Blake Brandel | 2026 7th-Rounder
MIN Gets: 2026 5th Rounder
All kinds of former Vikings coaches run the show in Seattle on the offensive side of the ball. From Klint Kubiak to virtually all his 2021 Vikings lieutenants, Minnesota’s connection to Seattle in 2025 is palpable.

Aside from Grey Zabel, a rookie, the Seahawks’ guards are pretty awful — in Pro Football Focus‘ 40-50 range.
Brandel to Seattle, where he could possibly start, makes all the sense in the world.
1. Tariq Woolen to Vikings
Trade Price —
SEA Gets: 2026 3rd Rounder
MIN Gets: Tariq Woolen
Our bread-and-butter theory this offseason, Woolen to the Vikings should be at the forefront of all trade theories.
Here’s why:
- The Seahawks benched Woolen during a game last season. It irked him.
- Vikings defensive coordinator Brian Flores has a thing for tall corners. Woolen is 6’4.”
- Seattle has not extended Woolen’s contract, and he’s due to hit 2026 free agency.
- The Seahawks already employ Devon Witherspoon, Josh Jobe, and Shaquill Griffin at CB.
- The Vikings arguably need another starting corner.
- Minnesota and Seattle have already done trade business this offseason with Sam Howell.
This one checks all the boxes.
