And after losing to the Detroit Lions in Week 18 — squandering a chance to host all playoff games at U.S. Bank Stadium — Minnesota finished in second place inside the NFC North. Correspondingly, its 2025 opponents are totally locked in. They will not change.
For starters, the Vikings will have eight home games in 2025, as the NFL switched from a nine-game versus eight-game home format every year. In 2024, AFC teams received eight home games. Next year, the Vikings and 15 other NFC clubs will be afforded the eight.

When the schedule formally releases in May, Vikings fans will suffer an almighty eye roll because the team always finds a way to play the Seahawks on the road. It’s downright habitual, religious even.
