Tyreek Hill Gets Roasted by His Own Son over Justin Jefferson

One of Tyreek Hill’s sons is telling his friends that Justin Jefferson is his father — not his real dad, Tyreek Hill.
Tyreek Hill’s kid made a hilarious claim about Justin Jefferson, and Hill told all this week, with training camps getting off the ground. Here’s what happened.
Hill revealed the comical comments this week, uplifting Jefferson’s impact around the league while staying lighthearted about his kid’s Minnesota Vikings fandom.
Here’s what shook down.

Tyreek Hill Unveils Funny Revelation about His Son’s Justin Jefferson Fandom
Hill told reporters, “My sons, they be in my head. They be like, ‘dad, Justin Jefferson, dawg’. My kids are like Justin Jefferson fanatics. They really enjoy Justin Jefferson a lot. I was talking to my son on Facetime last night, and his mom told me, she was like, ‘Yeah, someone else’s kid came up to your son the other day and was like, ‘hey, you Tyreek Hill’s son,’ and he was like, ‘nah, Justin Jefferson my dad.'”
“So I got him on Facetime and I’m like, ‘so ahh, Justin Jefferson is your dad?’ He was like, ‘no dad’. And I was like, ‘then Justin Jefferson can take your ass to Disney World then.'”
Here’s video of the exchange:
The general takeaway might’ve been how candid and supportive Hill seemed about his little guy’s bombshell.
Ironic — Because Hill Grew Up as a Vikings Fan
Hill has never been shy about pounding the table for Vikings fandom. The man grew up a fan of Minnesota, right in the age range when Adrian Peterson captivated audiences.
In fact, Hill’s Vikings roots are so pronounced that he often finds his way into Minnesota’s trade rumor mill, once per offseason, as of late, mainly because he’s never bashful about endorsing the purple team as his childhood favorite.

Now, his kid’s favorite player is a member of the Vikings. Small world.
A Jefferson-Hill Rivalry
Until last year, when Hill encountered the first relatively quiet season of his career by his standards, Jefferson and Hill shared a bit of a rivalry, vying for the title of the NFL’s top wide receiver.
Jefferson has seemed to take the mantle in the last couple of seasons, especially after winning Offensive Player of the Year in 2022. Yet, Hill’s electricity on Sundays keeps him in the conversation, and Hill remains a Top 10 wide receiver.

If he were to have a resurgence this season, it would be similar to Randy Moss in 2007, who broke the single-season touchdown reception record in his 10th NFL season. This year will be Hill’s 10th as well.
Hill Looking for a Bounceback Year in 2025
Hill tabulated 959 receiving yards and 6 touchdowns last season, a drop from 1,799 yards in 2023 and 13 touchdowns.
His QB1 missed seven games in 2024, and that appeared to prevent Hill from getting into a groove. Now, Hill has the motivation to return to otherworldly form, especially after his son hit him with the Justin Jefferson smoke.

The upcoming season is probably Hill’s last best chance to reclaim superstardom.
Tua Tagovailoa on Hill
Also this week, Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa spoke candidly about Hill, his teammate, who asked to be traded after Miami missed the postseason in 2024.
Tagovailoa said, “I think there’s a lot more vulnerability with Tyreek. He’s conversating a lot more with the guys, not just about football, but about things off the field, being vulnerable about some of the things people know about his personal life and things of that nature.”
“I think that’s the first step toward him building true relationships and a real connection with a lot of the guys in there. Everyone knows what he can do on the field. Everyone respects what he can do on the field, but I think he’s still trying to figure things out for himself as well, the man he wants to be — and he’s not too young. Everybody makes mistakes, it’s just, some people, they’re in the spotlight and their deals get pushed out more than some others. So you’ve just got to cut him some grace. That’s our teammate.”

The comments by Tagovailoa turned heads Wednesday.
He continued, “We love him, but as a person I think if you get to know him you’ll love him too. I’m not the only one that heard that. You guys aren’t the only people that heard that. A lot of people that follow football, that follow the Miami Dolphins, that follow Tyreek, that are fans of his, everyone has seen that. So when you say something like that, you don’t just come back from that with, ‘Hey, my bad.'”
“You’ve got to work that relationship up, you’ve got to build everything up again. It’s still a work in progress, not just for me but for everybody. But like I said, he’s working on himself, he’s working on the things he says he wants to get better with and do better on. So that’s the first step to me, so I commend him for doing that.”
Hill turned 31 this offseason.
