PurplePTSD works in partnership with Vikings Territory, similarly doing their utmost to offer top-notch coverage of the Minnesota Vikings. As a result, we’re promoting five of their top articles of the past week in “The P/PTSD Perspective.” Take a peek at some of their best stuff.

The P/PTSD Perspective: January 11th, 2025

1) The Vikings Have a Problem to Solve at a Critical Position: Indeed. Will Reichard inspired no shortage of purple optimism in the early moments of the 2024 season. The kid has an impressive leg. The IR trip, though, took some of the wind out of his sails. He’s now a lot more inconsistent.

2) Brian Flores is Eyeing 1 Specific Coaching Job: Makes a lot of sense, doesn’t it? Flores spent a lot of time with the Patriots, so going back to become the head coach would be a homecoming. Any chance that Robert Kraft prefers someone with an offensive background since so much depends on Drake Maye?

3) Popular First-Year Viking Wants to Finish His Career in Minnesota: Aaron Jones has had a good season in Minnesota. Very good, even. The issue is simply that he’s getting older. The best course of action may involve inking the talented runner to a reasonable two-year deal while looking for a running mate (pun intended) in the 2025 NFL Draft.

4) The Sam Darnold Decision is Easy: Poll different Vikings fans, writers, and the NFL community more broadly and people are going to have different opinions. The simple fact that there is a debate speaks to how well 2024 went for Mr. Darnold.

5) Kevin O’Connell Expects His Rookie to Be Ready for the Big Stage: The head coach consistently expresses belief in his own players. Since the beginning of the Kwesi Adofo-Mensah & O’Connell era, the rookie contributions have been scarce. Maybe one or two step up in a major way during the playoffs.
