The P/PTSD Perspective: January 4th, 2025

1) Vikings Earn Exciting Label for Playoffs: The simple fact that Kevin O’Connell has his team at 14-2 is reason for applause. The playoffs are a guarantee; all that’s to be determined is whether the Vikings finish at 1st or 5th in the NFC. No matter what, the Vikings should be a tough team in the final tournament.

2) Vikings Bolster Offensive Line with Ex-TE: The work of a GM never ends. True, there are times of the year when things are either quieter or busier, but there’s always at least something to be done. Kwesi Adofo-Mensah isn’t the perfect decision maker but he’s a hard worker who does his utmost to put Minnesota in a position to succeed.

3) Vikings Thinking about a QB Shuffle: Easy to foresee for a little while now. Adding Daniel Jones is about looking forward to 2025 — the former Giant could reasonably be the QB2 for J.J. McCarthy — while also opening the possibility of a better QB3 situation as the playoffs arrive.

4) Suddenly, a Once-Reliable Viking is Not So Reliable Anymore: The rookie has definitely had some moments that he would like to have back. But, for the most part, Will Reichard has been having a strong rookie season. The injury was unfortunate but the hope is that he’s at 100% health and feeling confident for the playoffs.

5) Shocking ESPN Playoff Prediction Revealed for Vikings: Does anyone really know what the Vikings are going to do in the playoffs? At worst, Minnesota is going to be a 14-3 team that has one of the best offenses and one of the best defenses in the NFL. Do they just keep on winning?
