PurplePTSD works in partnership with Vikings Territory, similarly doing their utmost to offer top-notch coverage of the Minnesota Vikings. As a result, we’re promoting five of their top articles of the past week in “The P/PTSD Perspective.” Take a peek at some of their best stuff.
The P/PTSD Perspective: February 8th, 2025
1) Looks Like the Brian Flores Sweepstakes are Over: The NFL’s loss is Minnesota’s gain. Brian Flores looks supremely likely to return as the defensive coordinator of the Vikings. What does the aggressive, creative DC have up his sleeve for 2025?

2) All of the Sudden, The Vikings’ Roster Has a Huge Hole to Fill: Rebuilding the corner position is arguably the most pressing issue for the Vikings in the current offseason. Start by extending Byron Murphy Jr. Doing so gives the team a versatile, talented starter to work with, but there’s still much more that needs to be done.
3) Kevin O’Connell’s Old Friend Just Became Available: The Cooper Kupp option is an intriguing one. He has some sneaky good size — did you know he’s listed at 6’2″ and 207 pounds? — and then there’s the history of working alongside Coach O’Connell. Might be an excellent WR3 option.

4) There Was an Attempt, But Kevin O’Connell Didn’t Take the Bait: Generally speaking, Coach O’Connell does a really good job at not tipping his hand. So, too, does Kwesi Adofo-Mensah do a nice job of saying a decent bit without saying too much. Truly a wait-and-see situation.
5) Vikings Coach Lands 4th Interview: Part of the cost of success. Going 14-3 while resurrecting a passer’s career in the process will inevitably lead to some interest around the league. After all, a lot of the teams that are resetting with a new head coach will also be resetting at quarterback, making the former Vikings coach extra appealing.
