PurplePTSD works in partnership with Vikings Territory, similarly doing their utmost to offer top-notch coverage of the Minnesota Vikings. As a result, we’re promoting five of their top articles of the past week in “The P/PTSD Perspective.” Take a peek at some of their best stuff.

The P/PTSD Perspective: June 21st, 2025

1) Former Vikings QB Wins UFL Championship MVP: Kwesi Adofo-Mensah doesn’t seem to have too many quibbles when it comes to adding talent from the lower-level league. Free agency and the NFL draft are still the main methods of picking up players, but he’s quite happy to add a UFL player if the fit makes sense.

2) The Vikings Said Goodbye to a Quarterback, Leading to a Receiver Addition: Kirk Cousins was allowed to leave. Minnesota got outbid and was content with that being the case. Part of the reason why was due to the compensatory selection that was added, one that would eventually (after a couple twists and turns) get sunk into receiver Tai Felton.

3) Vikings QB Called “Discount Darnold”: Yet again, the Vikings have remade their quarterback room. Moving on from Kirk Cousins involved welcoming Sam Darnold, J.J. McCarthy, and Brett Rypien. Moving on from Darnold meant welcoming Sam Howell and Max Brosmer.

4) Justin Jefferson is Happy an “Annoying” CB is Now on His Side: In most professions, being annoying is a bad thing. Not so for an NFL cornerback. One thinks back to Xavier Rhodes shutting down Odell Beckham Jr., a football game where the star receiver was a bit annoyed by how he was being covered. The hope is that Minnesota’s new corner is annoying to a lot of receivers in the 2025 season.

5) The Vikings Might Have Drafted a New Brian O’Neill: Basically any draft pick that offers a career akin to the one Brian O’Neill is putting together is a success. We’re talking about a veteran right tackle who is consistently offering rock-solid play. Another O’Neill would be a huge boost in Minnesota.
