PurplePTSD works in partnership with Vikings Territory, similarly doing their utmost to offer top-notch coverage of the Minnesota Vikings. As a result, weโ€™re promoting five of their top articles of the past week in โ€œThe P/PTSD Perspective.โ€ Take a peek at some of their best stuff.

The P/PTSD Perspective: August 30th, 2025

1) Vikings Can Now Sign the One that Got Away: The possibility exists that Nick Muse is a coveted player in Minnesota, but I’m not entirely persuaded. After all, we’re talking about a 7th-Round selection who failed to maintain his roster spot. Maybe in a pinch he gets a call from the GM about a reunion.

2) Looks Like the Vikings Pursue a New Quarterback: In the end, the Vikings’ quarterback room is looking a lot different. Just compare things from the beginning of August to the end of August. Goodbye to Sam Howell and Brett Rypien. Hello to Carson Wentz. Through it all, J.J. McCarthy has maintained his spot as the QB1.

3) Vikings Say “No Thanks” to Experienced Cornerback: The Vikings’ corner spot remains a work in progress. Picking up Fabian Moreau is a positive step but not a solution that assuages every coverage concern. Does someone else get picked up?

4) Vikings Linked to Familiar Face Hours After Release: Truth be told, the K.J. Osborn option was one that I thought was going to come to fruition. He’s younger and would have been cheaper to add (both since he wouldn’t have required draft picks and just a small cap charge). In the end, Minnesota opted for Adam Thielen, someone who is a better receiver.

5) Vikings Add Some Cornerback Help: Any more on the way? Brian Flores knows a lot about how to lead a defense, so maybe there needs to be a certain level of trust in his approach. Seeing so few corners on the team is still a surprise.
