The P/PTSD Perspective: Stealing Hype, 3 FA Visits, and Bringing a Player Back

PurplePTSD works in partnership with Vikings Territory, similarly doing their utmost to offer top-notch coverage of the Minnesota Vikings. As a result, we’re promoting five of their top articles of the past week in “The P/PTSD Perspective.” Take a peek at some of their best stuff.
The P/PTSD Perspective: August 2nd, 2025
1) One Guy is Stealing All the Hype in Vikings Training Camp: Dallas Turner needs to become excellent. If he doesn’t, then Kwesi Adofo-Mensah is going to get even more criticism for his drafting. The good news is simply that the sophomore oozes talent and has put in a pile of work.

2) Vikings Hosted 3 Free Agents on Saturday: The roster is mostly in place. Mostly. Things may slow down for a GM but they never fully stop. Adofo-Mensah is aware of the options out there and will be looking to improve the team if he believes it makes sense.
3) Former Viking Fired on His Day Off — A Reunion Makes Sense: Any help on specials would be a good thing. Cordarrelle Patterson is an all-time great, someone who should get a place in the Hall of Fame as being one of the best ever returners. Could he come back to the Twin Cities to finish off his career?

4) Looks Like the Vikings Have a Surprise Starter: Still a lot that can change given that we’re in early August. The initial updates, though, have been positive. Can the momentum continue through the remaining weeks and into September?
5) Out of Nowhere Viking is Turning Heads Early: Brian Flores, an excellent coach, knows a thing or two when it comes to identifying and developing talent. But then one thinks of the player himself. The undrafted corner deserves credit for making noise early in his NFL career.
