PurplePTSD works in partnership with Vikings Territory, similarly doing their utmost to offer top-notch coverage of the Minnesota Vikings. As a result, we’re promoting five of their top articles of the past week in “The P/PTSD Perspective.” Take a peek at some of their best stuff.
The P/PTSD Perspective: March 8th, 2025
1) Vikings Projected to Sign Top Free Agent Cornerback: Without question, the Vikings need some help at corner. The team’s top four options from last year are all moving toward free agency. Does that really mean they’ll land Charvarius Ward, arguably the top option available?
2) There’s a U-Turn in the Sam Darnold Sweepstakes: No shortage of twists and turns in this one, folks. Darnold has snagged no shortage of headlines and media attention in recent weeks. Soon, we’ll get ironclad clarity about where he’ll be playing next season.
3) One Vikings Draft Pick Can Be Penciled In: There’s a lot that’s going to change between now and the 2025 NFL Draft, an event that takes place from April 24th to 26th. But, to be sure, there’s good reason to believe that Minnesota could go in a specific direction with one of their picks. Aaron Jones should be the 1A and then there should be a young 1B.
4) There’s a New QB Option for the Vikings: Would make sense if there’s a desire for an experienced backup. The main issue is simply that Minnesota already has a ton of quarterbacks swirling within their orbit. Put this one down as a “maybe,” but it’s not likely.
5) Say Goodbye to 1 Vikings QB Idea: Truth be told, the idea never made too much sense for these Vikings. The plan is going to involve some combination of Darnold, Jones, and McCarthy. Otherwise, there’s in-house depth (Mullens, Rypien) alongside the potential to snag some more depth — note: depth, not a starting option — on the open market.
Enjoy the extra reading, Vikings fans.
