The P/PTSD Perspective: March 29th, 2025

1) The Vikings Outmuscled 3 Other Teams for New Offensive Weapon: Been a bit of a theme so far this offseason. Several teams were interested in Rondale Moore, a super fast weapon on offense who certainly inspires all kinds of neat possibilities for a creative mind like Kevin O’Connell’s. If Moore’s health cooperates, then this marriage could work.

2) Vikings’ QB2 Hunt Takes Another Hit: Yet another theme. The Vikings repeatedly prove that they’re more patient than fans, writers, and the various voices circulating around the NFL. J.J. McCarthy is in the house and so, too, is Brett Rypien. Otherwise, things remain a mystery at quarterback.

3) Vikings Reportedly Eyed Reunion with Fan Favorite QB: In a lot of ways, the fit would have made sense. Few, if any, are as intelligent as Josh Dobbs among the NFL’s quarterbacks. His greatest asset is his brain, something that O’Connell appreciates (the HC runs a complicated scheme). Even better, Dobbs does have some ability to play well even if leaning on him as a weekly starter for a full season doesn’t appear sustainable.

4) Vikings Blitz into Talks with Highspeed WR: Something that can’t be taught is speed. Yes, NFL athletes work on things like explosiveness, quick feet, and agility all the time. But, for the most part, someone’s top speed is God-given talent. Someone with blazing speed will always inspire intrigue.

5) The Vikings Evidently Have a Trade Asset on Defense: Basically zero chance this one happens, folks. Whoever concocted the theory doesn’t appreciate the degree to which Harrison Phillips is appreciated in Minnesota. Horrible Harry isn’t going anywhere.
