PurplePTSD works in partnership with Vikings Territory, similarly doing their utmost to offer top-notch coverage of the Minnesota Vikings. As a result, weโ€™re promoting five of their top articles of the past week in โ€œThe P/PTSD Perspective.โ€ Take a peek at some of their best stuff.

The P/PTSD Perspective: August 23rd, 2025

1) Kevin O’Connell Delivered Some Sweet News: Is there a single player in Minnesota who is more important than Justin Jefferson? Not likely. The Vikings’ WR1 is going to be leading the team in 2025, seeking to keep proving that he’s the NFL’s most dangerous weapon.

2) Vikings Pull the Ripcord Just as Defender Announced Commitment to Roster Battle: The NFL moves pretty fast, folks (just check in on the wild Harrison Phillips news). Linebacker Brian Asamoah never looked like he had a great shot to make the team, but seeing him waived so early was a bit of a surprise. Wish him well in his next stop.

3) The Vikings Have Now Been Left with No Choice: Zavier Scott has forced Minnesota’s hand. Go ahead and cut the runner. What’s going to happen? Very likely, Mr. Scott will get scooped up by a different team. Seeing him stick around as the RB3 feels like the best route.

4) Vikings Add a New Running Back: Quite often, the additions in the final week of the preseason are about a simple reality: bringing in an assassin for hire. The idea is to let the newcomer soak up some snaps, thereby preserving the players who are going to make the final team. After the game is finished, a roster cut usually follows. Will this time be different?

5) Vikings’ Preseason Loss Produced 5 Losers: In the preseason, the outcome doesn’t matter too much. Much more important is how individuals perform. Consider some of the players who struggled in the Pats preseason game as we’re now beyond the Titans preseason game.
