PurplePTSD works in partnership with Vikings Territory, similarly doing their utmost to offer top-notch coverage of the Minnesota Vikings. As a result, weโ€™re promoting five of their top articles of the past week in โ€œThe P/PTSD Perspective.โ€ Take a peek at some of their best stuff.

The P/PTSD Perspective: September 20th, 2025

1) Injury Bug Hits Vikings Hard Ahead of Sunday’s Game: Only so much can be pinned on the injuries. No doubt, they hurt (in more ways than one). The team does need to be better, however. Even the players working through injury — Aaron Jones, Ryan Kelly, and so on — would insist that the standard needs to be higher during games.

2) Vikings Appear to Complete a Veteran’s Position Switch: To a certain extent, we’re talking about a situation that was already known. Blake Brandel has primarily been shifted to guard. Old news. What’s notable is merely that even after backup OT Justin Skule went down to injury, Brandel didn’t get in the game.

3) Kevin O’Connell Clarifies the New Vikings QB Hierarchy: Very sensibly, Carson Wentz is being leaned on to lead the Vikings. He’s quite new in Minnesota, all things considered, but he has been around and played a lot of football. Wentz should be ready to roll. Clarifying the backup situation also makes a lot of sense.

4) The Vikings’ QB1 Had an Arm Issue. What About After Week 1?: In the 4th of the Bears game, J.J. McCarthy scored with a fastball before then scoring off of a change up. Can he get back to some of that brilliance from the end of the Chicago game? The kid QB even brought the ball in with his legs (uncertain what kind of pitch that is).

5) The Vikings Have a Curveball QB Option: Succeeding in the preseason is different from succeeding in the regular season (see: Sloter, Kyle). Goodness, the same can be said about the leap from the regular season up to the postseason. Nevertheless, the optimism for Max Brosmer remains. A diamond in the rough?
